In today’s world lot of good habits are being ridiculed and people are forced to follow unnecessary stuffs just to impress someone and buy things they don’t need.
Here I will talk about few great things which are completely normal to do.
1. Running on the roads vs Treadmill
Every evening I go for a walk in a nearby community which is harmless and surrounded by trees and fresh-air. I never really cared about the amount of calories I burnt that day. Pleasant music on my wired-headsets and beautiful fresh-air is more soulful.
2. Notepad and Pen vs Apple Pencil
One of my closest friend was very excited when he posted about the launch of Apple Pencil on his Instagram. I really found it crazy. I started researching on the internet to understand about the purpose of an Apple pencil and got a mini heart-attack after seeing its price. ‘Sathiyama over da..!!!’
3. Meeting real friends and Instagram followers
I have been friends with few genuine people in my life for more than 20 years. The beautiful feeling of being yourself along with real people can never be matched even if you get 1000 likes from your Instagram followers.(I dont want to talk about those fake Facebook birthday wishes anyways).
4. Reading using printed books and kindle
I am not a big fan of e-books. The physical feeling and touch is very important when you read. Nothing quite like putting a book into a friend’s hand and saying, “You’ve got to read this.”
5. Riding in a regular motorcycle
Whenever I meet my friends they ask me why cant you buy a better bike? I never really liked the idea of buying super bikes. I felt its quite normal to drive a hero splendor or a scooty which gives better mileage. I know very well that I cannot go past 50km/hr in the city traffic.
6. Subscribing to a standard plan
I am someone who subscribes to a standard plan in Netflix — it is okay to watch movies on 1080p. I always had the patience to wait for spotify or youtube ads to get over rather than buying a premium account for ads free experience.
Finally, all I want to say is — If you know yourself better you can decide on what you want.
